Hi and welcome to you,

there is NO Scenic RX4 with ESP. Your RX4 only got ABS and ASR.
That's the reason why your ESP signal doesn't light.

The button is only to deactivate the ASR & ABS.

Hello again
I just buy Rx4 the previeus car was scenic 1600
If anyone can tell me how it woks the esp or asr button.
As i read in forum and try to translate from german (with the help of internet)
When the button is green the asr is not working ?
When the speed is more than 60 khm the light is off and asr works ???
Please anyone with more experience
Thanks

If you push the button and the green led light the ASR & ABS is deactivated.
If you go faster then 60 km/h (don't know the exact speed), the ASR & ABS
will be active again.

That's all :)

I have not a button for ABS/ASR :( Is that mean that I have not ASR in my car?My car is 2001 year.Where can I read about ASR in RX4?Thank you :D

Your RX4 has also ASR and that can be a problem, because the ASR
slow down the spinning of the wheels. And this could be a problem in
some situations. The only way for you is to interupt the fuse for the ABS/ASR. That's nearly the same like the button in newer RX4s :)

I can't understand what do you mean for pity :( Please, tell me in detail what I must do
Sometimes when I want to accelerate more quickly, the revolution of engine rise, but the car accelerate slower than other times. Is that the effect of ASR?

Bobi-BG - on the right side of the steering weel at the botton - is the fuse box - open it and remove the ABS Fuse - start the car - the ABS, handbrake, etc will light up on the dashboard - now you can wheelspin the RX4 - but the ABS wil not work. Afterwards you just replace the fuse - and all is back to normal - tried it a few times - no problems -

Bobi - I only use it for when I am driving in the sand - or when I want to play around - the rest of the time I drive with the ESP or ARS activated - I do a lot of wet gravel road driving - and it handels very good in standard mode - so it must be a good thing.

Enjoy your RX
